In England & Wales the regulations only apply to outdoor storage, whilst in Scotland the regulations apply indoor and outdoor.

Why Oil Only – Hydrophobic?
- ‘Hydrophobic’ products mean they absorb only hydrocarbons – (oils, fuels, greases) and leave everything else
- This means they will absorb oil off water, tramp oil from coolants, lubrication grease from chemicals.... the list goes on
- Booms and socks will float on rivers, trapping and absorbing oil from the surface, and preventing the spread downstream.
- Oil only – just that
Why Maintenance?
- Maintenance absorbents are for general industry. They will absorb almost anything... oils greases, solvents, mild chemicals, in fact everything apart from heavy duty paints, and aggressive chemicals.
- The fibres are non-selective, so they will absorb all fluids at pretty much the same rate, depending on viscosity.
- The simple choice for a general spill.
Why Chemical?
- The chemical resistant fibres make it the obvious choice for an aggressive chemical spill.
